The Gorely volcano is a peculiar Kamchatka’s active volcanos. It has a complicated construction formed in the result of frequent erruptions and lava flows. The absolute height of the volcano is 1829 meters. The latest erruption of the Gorely took place in 2010. Volcanologists estimate that it erupts every 19 years. The ascending is not diffi cult. It takes about 3 hours and does not demand any special physical condition or equipment. Starting in the middle of August a lot of berries and mushrooms appear in this area. If the weather is good, nice views open from the top of the Gorely volcano: mountain peaks, shores of the Pacifi c Ocean and numerous canyons surrounding the area.
