The Bystraya merges with the Plotnikova River, forming the Bolshaya River, one of the biggest rivers in western Kamchatka. It plays a prominent role in the reproduction of western Kamchatkan salmon. This is a spawning ground for King Salmon, Red Salmon, Humpback Salmon, Siberian Salmon, Coho Salmon and Salmon Trout. There is also Loach, East Siberian Char, Grayling and Mikizha (rainbow trout).
The main spawning grounds are situated in the accessory systems of the Bystraya and Plotnikova Rivers and their riverbeds.
The most comfortable place for rafting and sport fishing is the area from Malky settlement to the Bolshaya river firth, where King Salmon and Hunchback Salmon spawn.
The most interesting fish for sport fishing is Mikizha (rainbow trout), which inhabits the Bystraya River. This fish is considered as a Queen of Kamchatka’s fishing. Only in Kamchatka you can catch the biggest Mikizha.
